A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice that has been a national group for over 15 years. We are currently looking to add a Physician Assistant (PA), with experience in an inpatient setting, to the team in our Jupiter, FL market!
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Ensure accurate and timely documentation in
EMR Required Qualifications:
Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in Florida Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an PA in an inpatient setting (internal medicine, inpatient hospitalist) Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills Comfortable working independently in a hospital setting
Schedule & Setting:
7on/7off schedule
Night Shift:
6:00pm-6:00am Hospital inpatient setting

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards. Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirements. Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
