What they do
A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

- Responsibilities
- First assist in cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans with the surgeon
- Perform Botox®, dermal filler injections, and laser treatments
- Perform minor in-office procedures within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide exceptional patient care Qualifications
- Current Florida PA license and DEA
- Previous operating room/first assist experience required
- Experience working in an AAAASF/Quad A accredited ambulatory surgery center or similar surgical setting is preferred
- Plastic surgery experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Botox, dermal fillers, and aesthetic laser treatments
