This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced provider who enjoys practicing independently while working alongside a highly skilled support staff in a fast-paced urgent care environment. At StatMed, you'll see a wide variety of patient presentations, utilize advanced on-site diagnostics, and provide high-quality care that helps patients avoid unnecessary emergency room visits. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a busy urgent care setting Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries Order and interpret laboratory tests, EKGs, and X-rays Perform office procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and other urgent care procedures Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans Collaborate with medical assistants, radiologic technologists, and front-office staff Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the EMR Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining efficient patient flow Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Current, active Florida license in good standing NCCPA certification (PA applicants) BLS and ACLS certification required Minimum one year of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience required Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills Experience with EMR systems Compensation & Benefits $65.00 - $70.00 per hour Three 12-hour shifts per week or six 6-hour shifts per week No overnight shifts Paid malpractice coverage Supportive work environment with experienced clinical staff Opportunities for professional growth and development Clinical Resources Available Providers have access to: CLIA-certified laboratory CBC BMP Cardiac enzymes D-dimer Influenza testing
