Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Under the Supervising MD- The Physician Assistant will be responsible for following through on urology care plans. Typical schedule will be 23 at most 26 patients a day.
- Independently evaluating new patients in clinic for non operative problems such as recurrent urinary tract infections, pelvic pain and overactive bladder.
- Responsible for oversight of the medical assistants in the placement of catheters including foley catheters. suprapubic tubes and more.
- Orders appropriate laboratory, diagnostic procedures and medications.
- Triages patient phone calls when needed.
- Attends required meetings and training.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Works closely with site manager and physicians with respect to hours, efficient patient flow and appropriate use of provider resources.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Complies with all Clinic policies
- Performs other duties as may be assigned consistent with professional credentials.
