The Villages, Florida Position:

Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) Williams Institute of Orthopedics is seeking a motivated and dependable Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing orthopedic practice serving The Villages and surrounding communities. We are seeking a PA who is comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic environment, managing their own patient schedule, providing pre-operative and post-operative care, and assisting our orthopedic surgeon with hospital rounding as needed . Position Responsibilities The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with our orthopedic surgeon and clinical team while maintaining an independent patient schedule.

Responsibilities include:

Evaluate and treat new and established orthopedic patients Obtain histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans Diagnose and manage common orthopedic injuries and conditions Review X-rays, MRIs, and other diagnostic studies Perform joint and soft-tissue injections Provide conservative orthopedic treatment and follow-up care Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients Assist with hospital rounding and inpatient post-operative care as needed Communicate pertinent patient updates and concerns to the orthopedic surgeon Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and recovery Order appropriate imaging, medications, therapy, DME, and other treatments Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Coordinate care with the surgeon, clinical staff, hospitals, and outside providers as appropriate Assist with maintaining efficient patient flow in a busy orthopedic clinic Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current or eligible Florida Physician Assistant license NCCPA certification Current DEA registration or ability to obtain Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work efficiently and independently in a high-volume practice Comfortable assisting with hospital rounding and post-operative patient management Strong organizational and documentation skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred , although candidates with relevant surgical, musculoskeletal, sports medicine, or other applicable experience are encouraged to apply. Our practice treats a broad range of orthopedic conditions, including hip and knee disorders, arthritis, fractures, sports-related injuries, shoulder and elbow conditions, and other musculoskeletal concerns. Our services include conservative orthopedic management, injections, regenerative treatments, surgical evaluation, and pre-operative and post-operative care. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking ownership of their patients while working closely with the surgeon and clinical team.
