This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who enjoys building continuity with patients, close clinical collaboration, and working in a focused outpatient specialty setting. We welcome both experienced PAs and new graduates who are motivated to develop expertise in interventional pain management. Part-Time Physician Assistant (PA)

Location:

Athens, Georgia Schedule:

Approximately 20 hours per week; two full days, four half-days, or a mutually agreed hybrid schedule within clinic operating hours Clinic hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Competitive and commensurate with experience Position Overview The Physician Assistant will work closely with the physician to provide high-quality outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. Responsibilities will include evaluating patients, supporting treatment plans, managing follow-up care, providing education, assisting with clinic and procedure-related workflows as appropriate, and maintaining timely, accurate documentation. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, demonstrates sound clinical judgment, treats patients with empathy and respect, and is comfortable asking questions and escalating concerns when appropriate. An interest in chronic pain, musculoskeletal care, medication management, procedural care, or rehabilitation-oriented treatment is strongly valued. Required Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements by their start date:

Education:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program Georgia licensure: Current, unrestricted Georgia Physician Assistant license DEA registration: Active DEA registration appropriate to the position's responsibilities Professional capabilities: Strong communication, clinical documentation, organization, patient-education, and teamwork skills Employment eligibility: Ability to satisfy the practice's credentialing, background-screening, and employment requirements Relevant experience in pain management, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, neurology, emergency medicine, surgery, or another outpatient clinical specialty is welcomed but not required. We encourage new graduates with a strong work ethic, sound foundational training, and a genuine interest in learning the specialty to apply.
