Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant -Pain Clinic

Colquitt Regional Medical Center is currently hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join our Pain Clinic to assume care of specific patients under the direction of on-duty physician. The Midlevel will follow established procedures and practices for patient care.

• Confer with Physician concerning assigned patients to determine best course of treatment
• Counsel patient and family regarding treatment plan.
• Make referral of patients to other medical providers or facilities when appropriate.
• Be comfortable discussing and weaning narcotics.
• Evaluate patients and book appropriate interventional pain procedures for physician.
• Perform joint injections, trigger point injections, Botox for migraines within scope of practice.
• Employee needs to be able to work in a fast-paced environment seeing up to 30 patients a day.
• Willing to train candidate for Pain Clinic duties.
