Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), function as an APP within the Spine Neurosurgery Department as a part of an innovative program with state-of-the-art operating rooms and technology, and care for the full spectrum of Spine Neurosurgery patients from minimally invasive surgeries to two-day long complex spine reconstructions. Job duties include inpatient care, outpatient clinic, and OR. Opportunities to become self-sufficient in the neurologic exam, complex spinal diagnoses and treatment, and interpretation of spinal imaging. Formulate individualized medical-surgical treatment plans in a shared-decision making model and facilitate discharge care and patient education. Identify opportunities for and implement program growth initiatives. Positively contribute to safety outcomes, quality initiatives and promote high quality patient experiences. Schedule includes rotating call, weekends and holidays shared by the APP team.

NCH Hospital, 800 W Central Rd, Arlington Heights IL Round and manage inpatient consults, pre- and post-operative spine neurosurgery patients. Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments. Assists with pre-admission and explain procedures to patients

What you will need:
License:
Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required;FederalDEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License requiredEducation:
Completion of Master's level program in specialty areaCertification:
BLS/CPR certification required RNFA certification required for APRNs to scrub into surgery (not a requirement for the job)Experience:
