POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant PA), Oncology is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing care to a diverse population of patients seeking oncology services. The APP Oncology will perform a variety of functions including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention within their scope of practice. Performs ongoing communication and works to promote quality of care through collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other care team members, patients and families. The APP Oncology demonstrates service excellence and accountability through recognizing the direct relationship between cost-effective and efficient provision of care and services including the impact of access to care. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies. Licensure /
Certification:
American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics Illinois Registered Nurse License, and an Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse License, or an
Illinois Physician Assistant License Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
