What they do

A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

As a nationally recognized leader in Cardiac care, we offer an opportunity for a dedicated APP to provide cutting-edge care to patients with complex cardiac conditions while collaborating with a team of top-tier cardiologists and surgeons. Practice Highlights Monday - Friday weekly schedule Call- 5 weekends a year

Education Qualifications Master s degree in Nursing Bachelor s degree in biology, chemistry, anatomy, etc Experience Qualifications Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Licensed in the state of practice as Nurse Practitioner is required. Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred. Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred. Federal DEA license is preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
