Coverage:
Coverage Travel, lodging, and malpractice: Provided Patient/Volume Annual ED volume: ~50,000 visits Department capacity: 33 beds (3 trauma bays, 13 cardiac-monitor beds) Trauma designation: Level III Trauma Center Clinical Support NP/PA coverage: 36 hours/day Scribe support: Provided Required Clinical Skills/Procedures Moderate sedation
Qualifications Board:
ABEM/AOBEM or current ABMS-recognized specialty; OR ≥5 years continuous full-time experience in a high-volume ED (>30,000 visits/year)
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license required
DEA/CDS:
Active Indiana-controlled substance registration and DEA with IN address covering Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4
Certifications:
BLS required
Experience:
New EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered; IM physicians require ≥5 years continuous full-time experience in a high-volume
ED Other:
Influenza immunization (current season), TB screening (within 12 months) or chest x-ray if positive, documentation of TB vaccinations, COVID documentation, case logs for past 2 years, completed CME attestation form Duties and Responsibilities Provide emergency medical care in a 33-bed ED managing ~50,000 annual visits Manage patients in specialty rooms for ENT, orthopedics, GYN, and trauma as needed Collaborate with NP/PAs and use scribe support for documentation Maintain enrollment in the Indiana Patient's Compensation Fund (IPCF)
