Job Description
Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practitioner Locums Job | Ongoing Jackson and Coker is currently seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a premier locum tenens assignment. Partner with a leading not-for-profit health system to support a high-volume cardiovascular surgery program. This assignment offers a predictable schedule within a highly collaborative and well-supported environment. Details/Requirements #116419:
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 1-2 years of cardiothoracic or cardiovascular surgery experience (strongly preferred)
- Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) experience (required)
Surgical:
Serve as First Assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.Procedural:
Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH).Inpatient:
Round on patients pre- and post-surgery and manage inpatient care.
Outpatient:
Conduct follow-up visits in a clinical setting.Weekly Schedule:
One dedicated clinic day per week, with the remainder of the week focused heavily in the OR.Call Rotation:
Shared 1:3 call rotation.Coverage Blocks:
Predictable week-long (7-day) coverage blocks designed to support work-life balance.Call Duties:
