Full-Time description: Job Details Description Responsible for providing direct patient care within the practice & under the directive of collaborating Physician. Works in collaboration with the Physician as well as nursing and support services to provide patient-focused care. Assessment and management of patients; Day to day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care; Serves as a consultant, researcher, and educator. Performs history & physicals, documentation of findings; communication with collaborating Physician/s. Orders appropriate diagnostic testing; reviews results/ informs patients & Providers of findings and required follow up. May include hospital rounds. Patient education and support. Ensures continuity of care for follow-up treatments. As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to
HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN
regulations and maintain associated workplace trainings. Other duties as necessary under direction of Physician/s and Administration.
MUST HOLD AND MAINTAIN CURRENT/ACTIVE CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSURE AS PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CREDENTIALED TO WORK IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY
Travel Required Yes. Will travel to Glasgow location 1-2 times a week after fully trained.
