A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Meritus Health, located in Hagerstown, MD, is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our growing Hospitalist team at Meritus Medical Center. Block scheduling model designed to support work-life balance Collaborative hospitalist team environment Closed ICU with intensivist support Dedicated nocturnist and specialty support available Opportunities for teaching and academic involvement through new residency programs Qualifications Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) Hospital medicine or inpatient experience preferred Eligible for Maryland state licensure Current DEA Registration and CDS permit Current BLS and ACLS certification per policy Strong commitment to patient-centered, team-based care
