A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions. Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and perform follow-up care. Assist in surgeries and procedures, providing pre-operative and post-operative care. Manage inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical patients. Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated patient care. Contribute to the continuous improvement of neurosurgical services.
Requirements:
Meet credentialing requirements for Maryland state licensure, clinical privileges, and medical staff membership. Hold a current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) with a focus or experience in neurosurgery. Demonstrate excellent clinical, communication, and collaboration skills. Exhibit a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
