May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Advanced Spine and Pain Centers is seeking a certified Physician Assistant for our Virginia/ Maryland offices. Candidates with previous experience in pain management and/or orthopedics are highly desirable.
Physician Assistant Requirements:
must have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with current license to practice in the State of Virginia/ Maryland. The Pain Management Physician Assistant duties include but not limited to: Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns; Reviewing patient's medical history: Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines; Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain; Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options; Performing joint injections; Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies; Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients; Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
Active VA and/or MD license; Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred; Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals. Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain. Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
