A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Well-established Multi-Specialty Group seeks an orthopedic Physician Assistant to work directly with an Orthopedic Surgeon with a Lower Extremity Fellowship.
  • The position will include both the OR and the clinic.
  • In the clinic, the Physician Assistant will be able to run a parallel clinic to the doctor.
  • Cases include hip and knee joint replacements including revisions.
  • Responsibilities include: first assisting, H&P's, injections, fracture management and hospital rounds.
  • Successful candidates should be NCCPA-Certified/Eligible and this doctor will train a recent graduate.
The location is within 20 minutes to Ocean City, Maryland and is especially desirable for the ocean lover! Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided which includes a 401k profit sharing plan, sign-on, relocation allowance and medical and dental insurance, CME and generous vacation schedule.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
