A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

APT Healthcare is currently looking for a full-time Licensed Physician Assistant to join our team of highly skilled and patient-oriented clinicians at our Outpatient Orthopedic clinic locations in the Southern, MD area. As a PA with us, you'll receive a competitive annual salary ranging from $118,000 to $135,000, based on your skills and experience + a $$Travel Stipend. We also offer a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week with 4 weeks of paid time off (160 Hours of PTO accrued annually for our Clinicians), paid holidays, a strong health/dental/RX benefit plan through CareFirst, 401(k) and more. As a PA, you'll be responsible for patient follow-ups, instructing patients and families regarding treatment plans and medications, performing physical examinations, and implementing treatment plans for new and existing patients. You will also monitor patients and administer medications according to clinic policies, complete each patient's paperwork and medical charts, and closely work with our clinic staff. To apply for this position , you must have completed an accredited Physician Assistant Program and be licensed/certified or in the process of being licensed/certified by the Board of Medicine in the State of Practice. Orthopedic training/experience is a plus, and you must be able to work independently and as part of a team. This is a multi-site position with coverage of several area clinics, all within a 5
  • 25 mile radius of Waldorf, MD. The schedule for the PA is Monday
  • Friday from 8 AM
  • 5 PM. (No nights, no weekends
