Job description Michigan Neurology Associates, P.C. is seeking a
WEEKEND ONLY
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. The ideal candidate will be willing to work weekend coverage at local hospitals. Practitioners will assist physicians in providing excellent care in an inpatient setting to patients with large variety of cognitive neurological disorders. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, writing orders, and follow up and limited in patient care. 1. Assess, examine and diagnose patients. 2. Rapidly formulate a differential diagnosis from assessment in an out-patient setting. 3. Work collaboratively with physician and seek direction and advice on any complex issues. 4. Identify and direct complex cases to physician for case handling and disposition. 5. Prescribe medications and treatment modalities to treat or cure low to moderate acuity conditions. 6. Develop treatment plans and actualize them with the team and staff. 7. Perform other duties as assigned by Team MD/preceptor and under the supervision of the preceptor MD. 8. Provide guidance to nursing personnel on treatment plans and care coordination.
