Yes Position Overview:
Henry Ford Health System is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team at Henry Ford Macomb . This role focuses on the perioperative management of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, surgical first assist responsibilities, patient rounding, evaluations, and postoperative treatment planning. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, highly specialized surgical team in a fast-paced, high-acuity operating room environment. Weekend coverage and on-call availability are required. Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of one year of cardiothoracic operating room experience. Qualifications:
At least 1 year of Cardiothoracic experience as an APP required PA graduate from an accredited program Current (or in-process) Michigan licensure National certification (NCCPA) BLS required; ACLS required (or obtained after hire)
Credentials:
Education & Training Physician Assistant (PA): Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Licensure Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan, or in the process of applying (proof of application required).
Certification PA:
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Required Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) - required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required (may be obtained after hire) DEA /
Controlled Substance Licensure PA:
