JOB DETAILS
: Job Description This locum Hospitalist Physician Assistant opportunity in Petoskey, Michigan offers long-term night coverage for an established inpatient hospitalist service. The position is designed to fill a recruitment gap and provides a consistent 7-on/7-off schedule, working alongside a nocturnist physician in a collaborative inpatient setting. The ideal candidate is an experienced, certified Hospitalist PA with an active Michigan license who resides within driving distance of the facility.Dates & Schedule Coverage Period:

Recruitment gap Job Details & Responsibilities Provide overnight hospitalist coverage for adult inpatient patients Manage variable inpatient census and admissions as needed Work in collaboration with a nocturnist physician and nighttime APP coverage team Deliver inpatient medical management for non-ICU/non-CCU adult patients Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient care activities Participate in orientation and onboarding processes as required Use DocTime for clock-in and clock-out tracking beginning July 1 Adhere to facility travel and expense policies Required Skills & Qualifications Certified Hospitalist Physician Assistant- Required Board Certified
- Required Active Michigan PA license
- Required Must reside in Michigan or within driving distance; no air travel candidates accepted
- Required Experience managing adult inpatient hospital medicine patients Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating with physician support Self-Query NPDB report dated within the past 30 days
- Required at presentation Employee Health & Credentialing Requirements Current seasonal influenza vaccination (2024-2025 season)
