  • Petoskey/Gaylord Salary Range:
    $57
  • $67 per hour
Status :
Part-Time, Two (2
  • 10 hour days
  • No nights, weekends, holidays
THE POSITION
Great Lakes Orthopaedic Center is seeking a Part-Time Physician Assistant to join the Petoskey/Gaylord Division. Work would be divided between our Petoskey and Gaylord out-patient clinics (Thursday in Petoskey and other day can be negotiable ). This part-time role involves collaborating with orthopeadic surgeons and a support staff who are dedicated to delivering excellent care to their patients and community.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Close collaboration with existing team
  • Evaluate and manage a diverse mix of patients, including new consultations and surgical follow-ups.
  • Provides direct clinical care to patients
  • Administer therapeutic joint injections
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests
  • Documents in the medical record all care and education provided and/or procedures performed for which the Physician Assistant is responsible
  • Maintains certifications and continuing education as required for licensure and privileging
  • Maintain reliable on-site attendance for scheduled days
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements
THE REQUIREMENTS
  • Physician Assistant graduate from an accredited program ( Master's Degree)
  • Current (or in
  • process) Michigan licensure
  • National Certification (NCCPA)
  • 1-3 years of orthopaedic experience or 3-5 years practicing as a PA
  • Is self-directed, and can take initiative
