Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, and outpatient clinics. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care performing diagnostic evaluations, and assisting in medical procedures across various specialties. Candidates with proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, along with experience in telehealth and clinical research, will be highly valued. The physician Assistant will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professional to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. This is an approved National Health Service Corp site for loan forgiveness. . Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including history taking, physical examination, and vital signs documentation . Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to interpret lab results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tools. Administer injections, medications, and follow aseptic techniques and HIPPA regulations. Diagnose and treat common medical conditions under the supervision of physicians. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness. Utilize EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for data management, medical records documentation, CPT coding, ICD coding, and billing processes. Participate in community outreach initiatives and contribute to improving health outcomes in the local underserved population. Contribute to quality improvement efforts with NCQA standards. Skills Proven experience in hospital setting such as Level I & II trauma centers or teaching hospital; ICU experience preferred. Strong proficiency with
EMR/ EHR
systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is a plus. Skilled in performing physical examinations, diagnostic evaluation, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic life support. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, CPT coding, and medical records management. Excellent patient assessment skills across the diverse populations experienced in family practice from pediatrics to geriatrics. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; commitment to HIPAA compliance and infection control standards.
