  • Lebanon, NH Dartmouth Health's Department of Orthopaedics is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner)to work at our academic medical center inLebanon, NH.
You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive musculoskeletal care, with a primary focus onsports medicine. In this collaborative environment, you'll work alongside physicians, APPs, residents, and clinical support staff to manage both acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. This role offers a unique blend of operative and non-operative responsibilities, providing opportunities to evaluate patients in clinic, perform procedures, and assist in surgeries, while supporting coordinated, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of orthopedic services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including patient evaluation, imaging, treatment planning, and documentation.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage patient communications, including calls, prescription refills, results, and urgent triage.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as injections, aspirations, splinting, casting, bracing, minor outpatient procedures, and wound care.
  • Assist attending physicians with operative care and surgical management.
  • Maintain clinical volumes aligned with departmental needs, which may include outreach at our satellite locations.
  • Participate in peer-to-peer reviews for insurance coverage and support administrative requirements.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities, including mentoring APPs, students, and peers.
  • Cover day call on a rotational basis. What DHMC has to offer you:

Requirements:
  • BLS certification
  • Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a PA or APRN in NH
  • Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program
  • National specialty certification as RNFA or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Responsibilities Qualifications
