Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our emergency department team on a per diem basis. This role offers flexibility, strong physician collaboration, and the opportunity to practice in a busy, community-focused emergency department within a highly respected health system. The advanced practice clinician will provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care to a diverse adult and pediatric population while working collaboratively with emergency medicine physicians, nursing staff, and support services. Primary Responsibilities Perform medical screening exams, patient evaluations, and documentation in the ED Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and injuries across varying acuity levels Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and EKGs Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians Perform procedures appropriate to APC scope of practice (e.g., suturing, splinting, abscess I&D) Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and follow-up planning Ensure compliance with hospital policies, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory standards Participate in multidisciplinary communication to ensure safe, efficient patient care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program Current New Jersey license in good standing National board certification (NCCPA or
AANP/ANCC
