Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner) Rothman Orthopaedics - 3.0 Township of Hamilton, NJ Job Details Full-time $100,000 - $150,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications CPR Certification Research Advanced practice provider Full Job Description Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Advanced Practice Provider ( PA or NP) based in our Hamilton, NJ office! This is a non-surgical role that is designed to support patients in the Urgent Care setting. Travel will be required to our office in Marlton, NJ as needed for coverage purposes.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30
PM Job Summary:
The APP supports the physician in evaluating and treating patients with acute orthopaedic or postoperative problems in the office environment.
Responsibilities include:
Assists physician during office hours, in satellite offices, and during hospital rounds to assure timely flow of patients. Participates in all aspects of patient care. Provides coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring orthopaedic care. Participates in and contributes to orthopaedic educational activities for hospital nursing and physical therapy staff. Assists physician during office hours including preoperative and postoperative instructions. Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding treatment instructions and medications. Dictates and documents all patient encounters. Dictates Medical Necessity letters. Completes forms for Workmans Comp. and Disability. Discusses patient care and necessary home equipment with Homecare Nurse. Prepares discharge letters and make post-op calls to referring physicians. Reviews charts preoperatively and document any pertinent information. Rotates with residents and fellow nurses and PAs covering the RI on-call schedules. Writes, faxes and/or phones in prescriptions for patients. Liaisons between RI physician and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care. Assists physician during hospital rounds with post-op patients and with research as needed. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited APP Program Active NJ APP (PA or NP) licensure and active CPR certification
Pay Range:
$100,000 to $150,000 annually + productivity bonus Our Commitment to
