Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Overview:
Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York, a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking an experienced Women's Health Physician Assistant to join an expanding division serving OB/GYN patients in our growing network.
Salary Range:
$117,000 - $131,686
Sign-on Bonus:
up to $50,000
Location:
Oneonta, NY and Cooperstown NY Job Description & Responsibilities Join our growing team of 4 generalist physicians, 4 hospitalists, 8 certified midwives, 4 PA's and 3 NPs in a hospital-employed, evidence-based practice Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region Collegial working environment with group employed model Women's Health and/or surgical experience preferred but not necessary Combination of outpatient GYN and Surgical 1st assist in

hours work week with 4 hours of administrative time per week Requirements National Certification as a Physician Assistant New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
BLS Certification Required DEA Required Benefits Compensation Salary Range:
$117,000 - $131,686 This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
