No required call. Optional paid call available. Position Overview Our team is seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant for a full-year locum assignment in Cooperstown, New York. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule with optional additional compensated call coverage. The neurosurgery practice is primarily focused on spine surgery (approximately 80%) with cranial cases making up the remaining 20%. The Physician Assistant will work alongside a full-time neurosurgery attending physician and provide surgical first assist support. Responsibilities First assist in neurosurgical procedures Perform minor bedside procedures including: Suturing wounds Wound aspirations Assist with patient evaluations and follow-up care Collaborate with neurosurgery attending physicians and APP team Manage consults for ICU and admitted patients as needed Utilize

for documentation Practice Details Average surgical volume: 5-7 surgeries per week Broad neurosurgical case mix Full-time neurosurgery attending on-site Requirements Active Physician Assistant license•New York Highly Preferred!!
