A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.
Job Description We are currently looking for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner ( AND/OR physician assistant ) to join our family medicine practice in Syracuse, NY . Join a seasoned group of 16 Board Certified Family Medicine physicians and 13 APP's who manage the care of newborns to geriatric patients This is a full-time position with an opportunity to pick up extra hours (evenings and weekends) if desired Schedule includes 4 days from 8-5 and one late night 12-8 pm per week; one weekend every 12 weeks with comp time
Primary Care (all ages) experience required; we will consider new graduates Must love building relationships with patients, value bedside manner, and possess excellent clinical skills Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations State licensure and board certification is required
