- Description
- Per Diem Surgical Physician Assistant - Northern Dutchess Hospital
- The Surgical PA Service at Northern Dutchess Hospital is seeking to add a board-certified per diem Physician Assistant to join its team.
- OR First Assisting- Surgical PA Services first assist in the OR for specialties including but not limited to general, plastic, spine, bariatric and OB/GYN cases.
- Rounding- Surgical PA's round on general surgery patients daily. This is done as a team-based approach with attendings, residents, students.
- Consults/ Admissions- Surgical PA Services covers admissions and consults for general surgeons
- Floor Procedures- Surgical PA's are responsible for floor procedures including but not limited to NG tube insertion and removal, wound vac and dressings changes, bedside I&D.
- Qualifications
- The qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and be NCCPA certified as well as possess strong surgical and patient management experience.
- Candidates with at least one to three years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred, but new graduates will be considered as will new nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience.
