Works in concert with an orthopedist, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations.

Collaborative practice environment working closely with onsite Infectious Disease physicians and surgical specialists.

Wound debridement, cleaning, and dressing changes Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (Wound VAC) Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Biologic Skin Substitute Therapy Pressure ulcer prevention, treatment, and monitoring Specialty support surface management Wound and ostomy education Coordination of care related to antibiotic therapy and surgical intervention Serves as a resource for physicians, staff, patients, and the community. Treatment plans are developed collaboratively to meet each patient's individual needs, strengths, limitations, and goals, providing age-appropriate care ranging from routine wound management to medically complex cases. Qualifications CWOCN certification preferred but not required. Compensation $78.63-$93.86 per hour , depending on qualifications and experience.
