What they do
A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Highlights:
MUST be experienced in Urgent Care and/or Emergency Medicine (NONEW GRADS
) Tower Health Urgent Care per diem positions must work at least 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule block (Can be split up, or a Sat/Sun) Our APP's are expected to perform simple procedures appropriate for an Urgent Care setting, such as, laceration repair, incision and drainage, simple form body removal, and splinting The advanced practitioner will be responsible for EKG interpretation, initial X-ray interpretation, point of care testing, and lab work results. There is also a telehealth virtual care component. Must be willing to travel to 2 locationsThe Benefits We Offer:
