May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Job Description

Cove Forge Behavioral Health System is currently seeking a Full-Time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA-C) with experience in the Substance Use Disorder field to join our Medical and Consult Services team. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals receiving care within our Medical programs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting patients on their journey toward recovery and improved mental wellness. Schedule Monday - Friday - working every other weekend (with scheduled days off when working weekends) Requirements Completion of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) program required. Knowledge and experience in diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, therapeutic treatment interventions, and patient care practices. Primary Responsibilities Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses independently or as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Assess patients' physical health and develop individualized treatment plans. Document clinical observations, evaluations, and treatments in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Promote health and disease prevention through patient education and wellness initiatives. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and health screenings. Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional approach with patients, families, and colleagues. Address patient concerns effectively while fostering a safe and supportive treatment environment.
