Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)NeurosurgeryUPMC Williamsport UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join our Neurosurgery team. This role offers a dynamic blend of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and procedural support, providing a well-rounded experience in a fast-paced surgical specialty. 5 days & $2,000 annually + Robust retirement & benefits package Why This Role Stands Out + Work in a fast-paced neurosurgery environment with excellent variety between clinic, hospital, and procedural settings + High level of autonomy in patient care and clinical decision-making + Strong, collaborative team dynamic within an established neurosurgical program + Develop advanced skills in a highly specialized field + Be part of a team committed to high-quality outcomes and patient-centered care What You'll Do + Provide outpatient neurosurgical care, including evaluation and management of acute and chronic conditions + Perform inpatient rounding and consults in collaboration with neurosurgeons + Assist with perioperative patient management as needed + Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans using evidence-based practice + Participate in call coverage to support patient care needs + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care + Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations + Knowledge of growth and development principles + Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan + Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies + Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment + Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care + Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
