Position Overview We are an orthopaedic surgical practice specializing in oncology and complex joint reconstruction, seeking a part-time Physician Assistant to work closely with our orthopaedic surgeon in providing high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who is interested in orthopaedics and looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, one-on-one clinical environment. Orthopaedic and surgical experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate, including a new graduate or PA with limited experience who is highly motivated to learn and grow within the specialty. Responsibilities Assist the surgeon with evaluation and treatment of new and follow-up orthopaedic patients Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations Assist with patient education and communication Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing and imaging Perform or assist with in-office procedures as training and experience allow Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care Document patient visits accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record Coordinate with the physician and office staff to ensure continuity of patient care Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and questions Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current or eligible for Pennsylvania and New Jersey Physician Assistant licensure NCCPA certification or eligibility Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a small-practice environment Willingness to learn orthopaedic clinical skills and procedures Ability to work independently as experience develops while collaborating closely with the supervising physician Orthopaedic and surgical experience is strongly preferred.
