Our client, a well-established and highly respected orthopedic practice in Rhode Island, is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join its growing Spine team. $105,000 to $120,000 + benefits
Responsibilities of Orthopedic Physician Assistant:
First assist surgeons during spine procedures in the operating room. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in an outpatient orthopedic spine clinic. Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and follow-up care. Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, recovery, and ongoing treatment. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record. Participate in a light call schedule of approximately 2 nights per month and 2 weekends per year. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care. Take advantage of optional Orthopedic Urgent Care shifts for additional compensation. Serve as a clinical preceptor for PA students if interested, with additional compensation available.
Requirements of Orthopedic Physician Assistant:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current PA-C certification or eligibility to obtain certification. Eligible for Rhode Island Physician Assistant licensure. New graduates are encouraged to apply if they have completed an orthopedic clinical rotation. Strong interest in orthopedic spine surgery. Previous orthopedic or spine experience is preferred but not required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team-oriented environment. Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care.
Pay:
$105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
