Job Description

Location:
Hendersonville, TN (freestanding emergency department, new facility; lakeside community near Nashville) Assignment length and start: 1+ year assignment, ASAP start Schedule 12-hour shifts Day shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM; Night shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Mix of morning, mid, and night shifts Weekends and nights required No on-call duties Compensation and travel Competitive hourly rate (based on ED experience) 100% travel reimbursement: flights, hotel, rental car, mileage, tolls, parking Support and orientation Nursing, tech, and APP support on every shift 2-day orientation (shadowing + EMR training) 24/7 dedicated locum consultant for credentialing, scheduling, and ongoing support Practice setting Brand-new, efficient FSED designed for rapid evaluation, stabilization, and transfer Collaborative, patient-focused workflow Clinical responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with acute medical and traumatic conditions Perform standard emergency procedures Order and interpret labs, imaging, and EKGs Stabilize and coordinate transfer of higher-acuity patients as needed Maintain accurate, timely documentation Candidate requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM preferred) Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with ED experience considered New graduates welcome Active Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain Comfortable performing standard ED procedures
