How you'll make an impact in this role Ascension Providence is looking for an experienced Physician Assistant for our Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery Clinic. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Providence to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

Vein Harvesting experience preferred Existing care team of pulmonology, cardiology, vascular surgery, radiology, etc Robust Primary Care team within AMG Providence Da Vinci Robotic Surgery Hybrid OR Rounding inpatient Surgical Assist All post-op visits Rotating weekends

Responsibilities:

Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Rmends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested. Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurancepany requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules. What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required. Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing preferred.

Education:
