As a Physician Assistant, you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Examine each patient, take a detailed medical history, and chart everything medically important in their records Read test results, interpret data appropriately, and make diagnostic suggestions based on those results Explain to the patient test results and expected health outcomes, provide patient education and counseling Prescribe medication or therapy with a physician overseeing as part of a larger health plan Develop and implement treatment plan Perform procedures as delegated by the Supervising Physician Qualifications Graduation from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program Valid state licensing and certification as a Physician Assistant Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests Strong critical thinking, problem solving, clinical skills and the ability to work independently Ability to work in a fast-paced envrionment Benefits/Perks Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Package Great Work Environment Career Advancement Opportunities If you are a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant looking to make a difference in patients' lives, we would love to hear from you!
