Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Must be willing to work one day per week in Washington, DC Position Requirements Minimum of 3 years of hands-on dermatology experience required Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license inVA/DC NCCPA
certification Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills in dermatology Experience evaluating and treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions Experience with skin cancer evaluation and management preferred Experience performing dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and other office-based procedures Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of dermatologic conditions Perform comprehensive skin examinations Diagnose and manage common and complex dermatologic conditions Identify and manage suspicious lesions and skin cancers Perform in-office dermatologic procedures Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and skin cancer prevention Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Collaborate with dermatologists and clinical staff to provide high-quality patient care Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be an experienced dermatology Physician Assistant who is confident in clinical decision-making, comfortable performing dermatologic procedures, and committed to providing excellent patient care. Experienced in cosmetic such as neurotoxins and fillers is a plus A minimum of 3 years of dermatology experience is required. Candidates without dermatology experience will not be considered. The primary practice location is Alexandria, Virginia . The successful candidate must be willing to work one day per week at our Washington, DC office.
