  • Dates of Coverage:
  • Coverage required 3 days per week upon completion of credentialing
  • Schedule:
  • Clinics operate 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. Shift length is typically 12 hours or more, contingent on patient volume. Providers are expected to accommodate all patients presenting during operating hours.
  • Number of Providers Needed:
  • 3 full-time providers (each covering 3 shifts per week, totaling 9 shifts weekly)
  • Practice Setting:
  • Clinic
  • Patient Demographics:
  • The patient population ranges from neonates to the elderly, with variability in demographics across different clinics and days.
  • Patient Mix:
  • 100% outpatient
  • Average Patient Volume:
  • Daily patient encounters fluctuate from 25 to 50, with an uptick as cold and flu season approaches.
  • Trauma Designation:
  • The clinic handles episodic events. Cases requiring higher acuity care will be referred to emergency departments.
  • Required Skills and Procedures:
  • Laceration repair (simple, intermediate, complex suturing, and stapling) Incision and drainage (I&D), including packing Foreign body removal Management of minor burns Skin lesion care Orthopedic stabilization (splinting and casting) Joint reduction Diagnostic and point-of-care testing X-ray interpretation Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation Point-of-care lab interpretation (including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose) Epistaxis management (anterior nasal packing or silver nitrate cautery)•Cerumen impaction removal•Airway support via nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization •

  • Mandatory Job Requirements:
  • Board certification (Required) Active Virginia medical license (Required) Current BLS certification (Required) Current DEA registration (Required) Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department, primary care, or urgent care setting (Required) Clean background with no history of malpractice or license infractions—strict adherence required The client does not cover travel expenses and insists on either inclusive rates or local candidate applications exclusively (Required) •
