Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Job Description A reputable Northern Virginia Interventional Spine, Pain, and Joint specialty practice wishes to hire an APP. (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)
NEWER GRADS
welcome to apply, as we will offer training to any APP we hire. Newer Grads, please do not apply if you do not yet have your Virginia license. We are procedure focused with spine, joint, and pain care patients. Here you will be working with a Board Certified physician. The support staff is professional and nice. The office strives to be a good team work environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience related to caring for patients with musculoskeletal issues.
  • Experience in Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, Neurology, Rheumatology, Spine Medicine, Injury, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Experience in caring for patients with chronic conditions
  • Medical Spanish speaking skills is nice but not required We are procedure focused: If hired and if you need training, the practice will teach you to conduct very thorough Musculoskeletal Evaluations , do Trigger Point Injections , Joint Injections , prescribe medical braces , Diagnose Spine conditions for spine procedures (which a doctor will do), and when caring for pain patients needing a pain medicine prescription , and you will be taught to follow CDC Prescribing Guidelines .
The work schedule:
  • Monday - Friday, days.
  • No evenings, no weekends, and no holidays Pain Medicine is a fast paced specialty, whereas you will typically see >24 pts per day.
Candidate MUST be licensed in
VIRGINIA.
