Job Description

Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a high profile Cardiothoracic Surgery Group in Roanoke, VA! The Majority of the role is at least 70-75% OR Time First Assisting; however, the CVOR PAs also assist with IP/ED consults if not needed in the OR. The advanced practice provider shall work Monday-Friday, 5 8 hour shifts with only one weekend per month! On call is 1 in 4. It is primarily OR call; however, on weekends the EVH PA may be asked to assist with removing chest tubes/drains. How big is your cardiac surgery division ? This year so far, we performed over 600 CT surgery procedures. We have 6 CT Surgeons, approximately 10 NPs/PAs dedicated to the Inpatient CT Surgery Service, 3 EVH PAs and 1EVH SFA. We have 2 NPs/PAs in the CT Surgery practice How many residents/fellows does your program have? 0-1 What makes this practice unique/good place to work? We have a very talented, dedicated team of surgeons and APPs. We practice at a tertiary care center and a high volume CV center that performs all aspects of CT surgery with the exception of heart transplants. Package includes
