About the Role This position will play a vital and respected role as a core clinical provider. This role focuses primarily on medical dermatology as the foundation of our training and patient care. While there may be potential future opportunities to learn and perform select cosmetic procedures as the practice expands, a mastery in medical dermatology is the priority. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing comprehensive full-time general medical dermatology care to patients of all ages. Diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions. Developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans, writing prescriptions, and managing ongoing patient care. Performing in-office dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and other minor surgical interventions. Coordinating care with attending physicians and collaborating closely with clinical support staff. Providing clear patient education and counseling on preventive skin care, disease management, and treatment protocols. Maintaining high standards of personal accountability, professional integrity, and thorough documentation.What We're Looking For Experience:
Open to top-performing recent graduates. We strongly prefer new graduate candidates who are eager to be trained in dermatology and do not have previous experience in other specialties.Education:
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program with a record of top academic performance.Certification:
Valid Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of Virginia (or eligible to obtain prior to start). Skills & Attitude Quick, enthusiastic learner with a strong self-driven motivation to study and master clinical dermatology. Friendly, easygoing, and team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills. Conscientious clinical judgment with the maturity to recognize personal limits and consult supervising physicians when appropriate. Strong organizational, critical thinking, and diagnostic problem-solving skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
