Orthopedic Surgery opening: Brattleboro, VT specific interest in Hand, Foot, or Ankle specialists Located 60 miles from Springfield, MA and 80 miles from Manchester, NH Seeking an outstanding BC Orthopaedic surgeon to join Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine clinic About the Job Full-time Permanent Employed Outpatient Multi-specialty group practice of over 45 providers Sub specialty is welcome but not required The call is 1:4 for outpatient and Emergency Department call Two Orthopaedic PAs take first call 24/7 Hospitalist service covers admissions and inpatient care This full time position offers a competitive compensation/benefits/CME package About the Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine takes care of acute injuries and chronic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system (i.e.: bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, nerves). In addition to the three board certified orthopedic surgeons on staff, the practice offers also a physician assistant and certified athletic trainer.

While most orthopaedic patients do not require surgery, surgical procedures are an integral part of the orthopaedic specialty and an extensive array of procedures are commonly performed at the Clinic Commonly Performed Surgeries include: Total joint replacements (total hip, total knee, and total shoulder replacement), greater than 100 per year. Minimally invasive joint arthroscopy (knees, shoulder, elbow, wrist, ankle) approximately 300 a year. Fracture repair, over 200 a year. Hand surgery, (carpal tunnel syndrome, tendon repair), approximately 150 a year. Low back procedures approximately 40 a year. Location Brattleboro is a progressive Vermont arts community, the market center for Windham County. Outdoor activities include biking, skiing, kayaking, hiking.
