JOB DETAILS
: Job Description ATC West Healthcare is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP), preferably a Certified Physician Assistant, to provide comprehensive perioperative and inpatient care for adult cardiothoracic surgery patients. This role requires a provider experienced in both assisting in the operating room and managing patients throughout the acute care and ICU continuum. The assignment is expected to last 6-9 months and is intended to fill coverage following the retirement of a current APP. Dates /Schedule Start Date:

Epic Clinical Duties Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and provide perioperative patient management. Manage acute care and ICU cardiothoracic surgery patients. Participate in hospital rounding and provide clinic support as needed. Evaluate and manage postoperative patients, including volume status and blood pressure issues. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiothoracic surgery team. Required Procedures/Experience General cardiothoracic surgery (open procedures) Coronary artery bypass grafting (on-pump) Valvular repair Valvular replacement Preferred Experience Cardiac aneurysm repair Aorto-thoracic aneurysm repair Lung resections, including VATS Chest wall and pleural procedures Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues Central line placement Patient Volumes Hospital patients per day: 5-10Admissions:
0-3 daily ICU patients: 2-7Surgeries:
1-2 daily Support Team 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons 4 APPs/Midlevels RN Navigators Medical Assistants and ancillary staff Reason for Coverage Retirement of an existing APP Required Skills and Qualifications Required Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) Significant Cardiothoracic Surgery experience Operating room first-assist experience Experience managing cardiothoracic surgery patients in acute care and ICU settings Ability to round on patients and provide clinic support Current or obtainable Washington state license Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation Highly Preferred Active Washington license at submission Clean malpractice and background history Local candidates requiring no air travel Ability to begin once credentialing is completed For more information, please contact: Judy Murrin tel:424-678-1180 judy@atc-west.comPay:
