Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant. Job in Wausau Gr8Jobs

A north-central Wisconsin private surgical practice that has a patient draw from a 13-county region throughout Northcentral Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan is currently looking for a Trauma / Acute Care Physician Assistant. The Physician Assistant will assume a primary provider role in the care of patients in a hospital setting.

The Position:

Analyzes findings to create assessments, initiate treatment plans, and make referrals; performs diagnostics and prescribes treatments for medical and surgical issues. Orders and interprets lab tests, administers treatments, and performs routine procedures, including first aid and wound care, while collaborating with physicians. Develops and evaluates treatment plans, monitors patient outcomes, and ensures safety and quality standards in care. Provides cross coverage of Surgical First Role within the operating room (minimal) Completes Hospital rounds with Trauma and Acute Care attending physicians daily. Afternoon rounds may be independent, but MD updates are expected.

2 then 3 - 12 hour shifts (11am-7pm) M-F and 2 -12 hour shifts (7am-7pm) every other weekend Some of the
