Locums About the Facility This inpatient facility is seeking a locum tenens psychiatrist for short-term coverage from late September 2026 through the end of November 2026. The facility maintains a structured clinical environment supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes RNs, LPNs, and Therapists. Established clinical protocols are in place to support continuity of psychiatric care delivery throughout the coverage period. About the Facility Location Alaska offers a range of regional attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities suited to varied interests. The state provides access to natural landscapes, wildlife programs, and year-round activities spanning cultural experiences and outdoor exploration. Clinicians on assignment will find regional amenities and recreational opportunities accessible throughout the state. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for patients of all ages, working Monday through Friday during day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management for patients presenting with a wide range of mental health diagnoses, including suicidal ideation and self-harm. Weekend and call coverage are available as negotiable options for this assignment. Prescriptive authority and an active Alaska medical license are required for all clinicians considered for this position.
