Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate emergency medicine physician to join our dynamic healthcare team at Baptist Medical Center South through TeamHealth. As an emergency medicine physician, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need of emergency medical services. Your expertise, clinical acumen, and ability to make swift and accurate decisions in critical situations will be crucial to the success of our emergency department.
Position Details Include:
Annual volume: 51,000 High acuity Hospital beds: 450 ED beds: 64 Trauma level: II Board requirements: board certified or eligible in emergency medicine
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions, injuries, and emergencies Perform initial patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests as required Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine and best practices, considering the individual needs of each patient Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and potential risks and benefits Monitor and reassess patients regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and addressing any changes in their condition promptly Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and departmental meetings to promote excellence in emergency medical care
