Job Description

Neurologist Opening in
Gadsden, ALLocation:
Gadsden, AL Full-time, Monday Friday outpatient clinic with hospital rounding as needed. Call limited to no more than 10 days per month.
Position Overview:
Diagnose and manage neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson s disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathies Conduct neurological examinations and interpret EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT studies Provide comprehensive care through outpatient consultations and hospital rounding Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists on inpatient management Participate in stroke team evaluations (if applicable) Educate patients and families regarding conditions and treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continued medical education Opportunity to teach medical students or residents depending on practice structure
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited institution Board certified or eligible in Neurology Valid, unrestricted state medical license DEA license and credentialing required Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship training in stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, or neurocritical care (optional) EMR proficiency, ideally with Epic Experience with inpatient consults and call rotation
